How do Competition Sponsorships Work?
We regularly sponsor speedcubing events, large and small, all across the world. Our competition sponsorship program is available to provide gift code prizes, cube covers, and business cards. Vending and streaming services are also available for select areas. If you’re interested in inquiring about sponsoring your next event, please review the following and contact us.
Competition Sponsorship
As the organizer, please contact sponsorship@thecubicle.com with the following details, if you haven’t done so already.
- WCA Page for the competition if available
- The location of the competition
- The Events being held
- The competitor limit
We require all competitions to do the following:
- Use Cubicle Covers and Business cards (for Square-1)
- Display our Logo and put in the description under the WCA sponsorship tab
- We require you announce that The Cubicle is sponsoring the competition and providing prizes for your competition at the start and conclusion of the competition.
- We encourage our logo to be displayed on any certificates or similar.
- We encourage that the organizer takes photos of the competition and send them to The Cubicle for social media and promotional purposes.
Gift Card Prizes
The Cubicle can provide Gift Card Prizes based on the competitor limit. The Cubicle may change the prize structure if the actual turnout is significantly different than what was originally planned. The Cubicle also reserves the right to change the prize structure depending on the number of events against the number of competitors.
Tier 1 : If Your Competition Has Under 30 Competitors
Main Event (Usually 3x3):
- 1st: $10
- 2nd: $7
- 3rd: $5
Other Events:
- 1st: $10
Tier 2 : If Your Competition Has 31 to 80 Competitors
Main Event (Usually 3x3):
- 1st: $20
- 2nd: $15
- 3rd: $10
Other Events:
- 1st: $10
- 2nd: $7
- 3rd: $5
Tier 3 :If Your Competition Has Over 80+ Competitors
Main Event (Usually 3x3):
- 1st: $35
- 2nd: $25
- 3rd: $15
Other Events:
- 1st: $10
- 2nd: $7
- 3rd: $5
If Your Competition Is Considered a State Championship or Regional Championship or of similar magnitude, please contact sponsorship@thecubicle.com for additional details.
Redeeming Gift Card Codes
It is the responsibility of the organizer to distribute gift card codes to the recipients. The Organizer must provide photos of the competition showing that the competition did use our Cube Covers in order to receive the prizes.
You will get the gift cards after the competition has concluded and the results have been posted. This is the most preferred method as we are able to combine the gift card codes to cubers who have placed in multiple events and there will be less codes to send out to winners.
We will send you a document with the Total Winnings per person and their code which you must send to the winner of the competition.
