How do Online (Unofficial) Competitions Work

With unofficial online competitions being held around the world, we want to help support qualifying competitions with gift code prizes. Please keep in mind that not every online competition can be sponsored.

Online Competition Qualifications

In order to maintain a healthy sponsorship between The Cubicle and your competition, we need to remind people that competitions both in-person and online are ways to help spread The Cubicle brand across to your competitors. Due to this, we require all online competitions to do the following to be qualified:

  • You must commit to at least 3 points of recognition throughout the competition. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Having our logo displayed on live streams
    • Having our logo displayed on scramble emails or other types of scramble distribution
    • Having our logo displayed on the sign up page for the competition
    • Having our logo under a sponsorship tab on the competition website
    • Having our logo displayed as on Discord or another platform

  • We ask that organizers for these potential competitions tell us important information
    • Where is the competition being hosted (i.e. Timezone)
    • How many competitors expected
    • Actual number of competitors pending
    • What events you are currently hosting
    • Livestream Capabilities.

Once all this information has been submitted and that you are able to commit to at least 3 points of recognition, The Cubicle will either approve or deny your competition for sponsorship. If approved feel free to use our brand resources found in this link

During the Competition

All approved competitions must screenshot at least 3 points of recognition during the competition and submit them to The Cubicle in order to receive the prizes.  Failure to submit these requirements will invalidate the sponsorship agreement

If you are live streaming the event, either in full or partially, we request that you keep a copy of the Video on Demand (VOD) as a point of recognition. We understand that technical difficulties may occur, but will affect the prizes being distributed.

We also request all potential podium winners to submit video evidence prior to getting prizes. These can be as simple as uploading a video on YouTube and collecting links of their solves.

Redeeming Gift Card Prizes

The Cubicle can provide Gift Card Prizes. Please keep in mind that The Cubicle reserves the right to change or deny any prizes if you do not submit the points of recognition as mentioned. It is the responsibility of the organizer to distribute gift card codes to the recipients. The Organizer must provide the following in order to get the prizes from The Cubicle

  1. Screenshots of the points of recognition throughout the competition
  2. A spreadsheet or list of podium winners (regardless of whether or not the podium winner will get get a prize). This must include some kind of identification (Name, Discord user name, email, etc.)
  3. A link or direct copy of the VOD (if live streaming) the event.
